MBDAA has endorsed the following policies to deal with the H1N1 swine flu outbreak...
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
Players WILL NOT remove their gloves to shake hands with the other team before a game. Gloves must remain on and the players will only tap gloves.
ALL PLAYERS are to use individual water bottles.
Coaches and referees WILL NOT shake hands before the game. Instead a courteous hello and a wave will be used.
Trainers will ensure that all of the water bottles are properly cleaned and marked for individual use.
